Effective communication strategy is key in driving scientific progress. I aim to bridge the gap between emerging research outcomes and audiences who might not be able to access results at face value, but who could certainly benefit from the knowledge.

Before joining Lot Sixteen, I worked with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency helping scientists plan, draft, and release research products into the public sphere. I’ve learned over time that it’s not only important to make strides in research, but equally, if not more important, to deliver those results in an easily digestible way. My science background enables me to engage with technical concepts while defining a clear path forward for communicating the results. I take pride in knowing that I’m carrying my weight and am always eager to get my hands dirty learning something new.

I was born and raised in Ohio and while I love the District, the Midwest will always have a piece of my heart. I graduated from Bucknell University with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and moved to D.C. to pursue a master’s degree in Environmental Science at American University. In my free time you’ll likely find me outside – reading in my hammock, skating through Rock Creek Park, or at the Mall hanging out with friends who feel like family.
