Chelsea Baltes
Inherently an outgoing Midwesterner, I am a people person who thrives on communication, relationships, and hard work.
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, I migrated South to attend the University of South Carolina’s Honors College (Go Gamecocks!) where I graduated with degrees in Political Science and International Studies. I continued my studies at Georgetown University’s Law Center, and it was during law school that I discovered a passion for the energy industry after spending some time as a legal fellow at the Senate Energy & Natural Resources Committee. After graduating from Georgetown Law, I joined a firm in Columbia, SC where I began to hone my legal skills and learned much about becoming a strong advocate and persuasive voice for others.
For the past couple of years, I pursued my energy interests at a law firm in Washington, DC, working as a litigation associate avidly defending an array of energy companies faced with various legal challenges. While this experience has shaped me into the lawyer I am today, I was eager to return to the regulatory and public policy space. Having previously spent some time working at Lot Sixteen early in my career, I am thrilled to be back as part of this incredible team working with incredible clients to assist them in achieving their goals.
When I am not working, I am (surprise) usually with people. I also enjoy working out, taking my dogs Mac and Jax on a walk around town, exploring new restaurants, and I will always take any chance I can to spend time with family. Perhaps most importantly, I am a huge sports fan. While I will always stay true to my hometown teams - go Reds and Bengals - I also now consider myself to be quite the Braves fan!
