I am a fast-paced, efficient worker who strives to execute everything to the highest standard, no matter the size of the task. Words are important, but actions speak louder, and I operate in the same vein.
I first experienced Washington, DC during a summer internship with the Commerce Department’s International Trade Administration. I knew then that I wanted to end up in DC with a career in trade policy. Fast forward many years, and I worked on trade issues in Congress at the Senate Finance Committee and at the world’s largest business organization before landing at Lot Sixteen.
Throughout my career, I have handled a diverse portfolio of policy, communications, and operational tasks that well-prepared me to serve client needs. Recognizing the importance of giving a voice to companies of all sizes, I have advocated for trade programs on the Hill with small businesses and worked with large corporations to push back on trade barriers in foreign markets. I have also collaborated across teams on special projects and programs, developing relationships that were often the key to a successful outcome.
During my time in Congress, I witnessed the passage of a significant trade agreement, a bipartisan feat that demonstrated progress can be achieved when willing to roll up your sleeves and negotiate. I also learned the importance of follow through – a trade agreement is only as good as its implementation and enforcement.
I was born and raised in Greenville, SC and am a third generation Clemson University graduate (Go Tigers!). I completed an M.A. in International Trade & Investment Policy from GWU after moving to DC and currently live on Capitol Hill. You’ll often find me walking around the neighborhood with a coffee in hand or on a picnic in Lincoln Park.
