I have always loved storytelling. In fact, I believe that stories can be some of the most powerful things in the world. That is what drives my passion for public affairs and communications work. The process of strategically creating, modifying and disseminating narratives and messaging campaigns is something I truly enjoy, because at the center of all of it is a story that needs to be told, and told well.
Prior to joining Lot Sixteen, I was a public affairs intern at Forbes Tate Partners, where I was able to work for a variety of different clients, including large corporations, healthcare organizations, nonprofits and policy-based coalitions. The diverse array of clients provided for an excellent learning experience, and allowed me to hone my communications skills.
I also worked for the Virginia Democratic Coordinated Campaign in 2018 and 2020. I am proud to say that we won (almost) all of the elections that I had the pleasure of working on. I was able to deliver key social media content and opinion-editorials that promoted different candidates, in addition to coordinating successful campaign events. And while I encountered adversity while working on a campaign during the COVID-19 pandemic, it taught me how to adapt to constantly changing sets of circumstances.
I received a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Denison University, where I was president of Hillel for two years. When I am not hard at work, you can find me performing at a standup comedy open mic, spending quality time with friends and family, exercising, or watching my favorite sports teams break my heart year after year.
