Olivia Hazzard
Executive Assistant
Born and raised in the D.C. area, I have always been drawn to the policymaking process and problem solving to find more effective systems of government. I believe that building strong relationships with clients and coworkers is the best way to get things done.
I graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in American Politics, where I fell in love with Charlottesville and meeting new people. While at UVA, I took on several leadership roles within my sorority which taught me how to problem solve while juggling the different wants and needs of our members. Outside of school, I have taken on a wide variety of positions, ranging from retail to childcare to nonprofit work. In each of these roles, I prioritized relationships and used them to do my work efficiently and effectively. Most relevant, my experience with nonprofit voter organizations gave me the opportunity to work with politicians of different beliefs and backgrounds while pushing towards one goal- increasing voter turnout. I am excited to bring my experience to Lot Sixteen and learn all that I can about government relations and communications along the way.
On the weekend, you can find me watching the Food Network, planning my next trip, or exploring a new park with my rescue dog turned baby brother, Willy.
