Exploring and breaking down complex policy issues may seem like a daunting task to most, but I gladly welcome the opportunity to understand and master the most impactful issues for our clients.
I was raised in Charlotte, North Carolina and later moved further south for college. I am a proud graduate of the College of Charleston (Go Cougs!) where I earned my degree in Political Science and International Studies with a concentration in Latin American and Caribbean studies. During my tenure, I learned the fundamentals of southern hospitality, incorporating it in both my personal and professional life. While at CofC, I had the honor of welcoming all of the 2020 Democratic Presidential candidates to campus during the South Carolina Primary, as well as interning for former Congressman Joe Cunningham, whose victory marked the first time since 1986 that South Carolina Democrats flipped a U.S. House seat.
From there, I’ve held positions on political campaigns, at a D.C.-based boutique fundraising firm, and most recently I was a research analyst at the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE), a prestigious AFL-CIO affiliated trade union representing hundreds of thousands of construction workers who build and maintain America’s most critical infrastructure. During my time at the IUOE, I learned of the complexities within organized labor, as well as labor’s essential role in ushering in the renewable energy transition.
Aside from work, I enjoy pilates, attending stand-up comedy shows with my fiancé, trying every new restaurant in the city, and cuddling up with my dog Kuzco.
