Every word matters. Whether you’re trying to shape public policy or move public opinion, an effective campaign requires leveraging every single word to advance your goals and tell your story. Because if I've learned anything in my time in politics, it's that if you aren’t telling your story, someone else will. And if people aren’t hearing your message, they’re listening to someone else.

With over a decade of communications and policy experience in Congress, I know that you can’t advance legislative or public relations goals without clear, concise, consistent messaging. As a Chief of Staff to one prominent Member of Congress and a senior communications advisor to another, I’ve been through tough winning and losing policy fights, and learned from both.

Before joining Lot Sixteen, I served as Chief of Staff to Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (D-MI), one of the hardest working, most effective Members of Congress. As her most senior advisor, I oversaw her work on the House Energy & Commerce and Natural Resources Committees, while also managing her communications, legislative, constituent services, and political operations. In addition to those responsibilities, I led the Congresswoman’s work as co-chair of the Democratic Policy & Communications Committee and as founder and chair of the Heartland Caucus.

Previously, I served as Communications Director and Press Secretary to Congressman Joe Kennedy III (D-MA). In those roles, I drafted speeches, press releases, and op/eds, built the Congressman’s social media presence, and was his on-the-record spokesperson.

A proud DC native, I took a brief break from the DMV to attend Gettysburg College and work on a Congressional campaign in Massachusetts before moving right back home. I’ve lived in every DC quadrant before settling in Northeast with my wife, two kids, and pandemic puppy. You can catch me watching or talking about sports, and telling my kids about the Red Sox and Patriots dynasties of my youth.
