Ashley McManus
Vice President
I’ve worked in energy and natural resources policy on Capitol Hill for over a decade, where I became intimately familiar with the many statutes that govern our nation’s resource development. Navigating the debates in Congress around these laws gave me a deep appreciation for how meticulous one must be when crafting legislation to ensure successful implementation. I bring this same thorough approach in support of our clients at Lot Sixteen.
I joined the House Natural Resources Committee in 2017 as the Professional Staff Member for onshore energy. Beginning in 2019, I served as Staff Director of the Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources under the leadership of Chairman Rob Bishop and Chairman Bruce Westerman. As Subcommittee Staff Director, I led Committee efforts on mining and minerals policy, onshore and offshore federal energy development, and permitting reform.
I am a proud alumnus of Auburn University, where I received a bachelor’s degree in political science, and Georgetown University, where I received a master’s degree in public policy. Growing up boating and fishing on the Alabama Gulf Coast gave me a deep love for life on the water. My husband and I live in Alexandria, VA, where you can find us biking along the Potomac or exploring the historic sites on King Street.
